Registrations for all age groups for the 2026/27 season are now open.

If you are a new athlete you are welcome to attend our information evening on Wednesday 14 October at Whitby Bowling Club and a Have a Go Night on Tuesday October 20 before deciding if you’d like to register for the season. The first Club Night will start on Tuesday 27 October.
Quarterly membership options are also available if you'd like to join for either 1 October to 31 December or 1 January to 31 March.
As an Athletics New Zealand affiliated club, Mana members are eligible to compete in events organised by Athletics New Zealand and Athletics Wellington, including the Colgate Games (up to age 14), Wellington representative teams, and international events until 31 March 2027.
For junior athletes, the age you are on 31 December 2026 determines the age group you will compete in for the entire 2026/27 season.
For example:
If you are 8 at the start of the season and turn 9 in February 2027, you will compete in the 8-year-old age group for the entire season.
If you are 8 at the start of the season and turn 9 in December 2026, you will compete in the 9-year-old age group for the entire season.
We use Athletics New Zealand's GameDay registration system. Here are a few things you need to know:
If you don't already have an account from a previous season, you'll need to create one using an email address of your choice.
Each athlete can have their own email address and phone number, if required.
A family discount is automatically applied when three or more athletes are registered at the same time under the same user profile.
There is an option to make a $5 donation to the club. This is entirely voluntary. If you'd like to contribute, the club has a policy explaining how donations are used.
All payments are made online at the time of registration.
Note: Members transferring from another athletics club, who have already paid membership fees for the current season, should contact us at info@manaathletics.co.nz before registering with Mana. We need to process your transfer to ensure you do not pay the Athletics New Zealand and Centre levies again.
Uniforms
We encourage athletes to wear club uniforms at Club Nights, but it is not mandatory. Uniforms must be worn when representing Mana at local and national competitions or events.
Club uniforms are available for purchase HERE. Singlets cost $30, t-shirts cost $35, and crop tops cost $40. There is a second-hand uniform swap page in the Events section of our Facebook page HERE. If your athlete has outgrown their uniform, we'll happily accept good-quality items to help equip another athlete.
We also offer Mana hoodies to keep athletes and supporters looking cool but feeling warm on club nights and at competitions. Hoodies can be purchased throughout the season for $60.
Mana bucket hats are available in adult and child sizes for $17.50.
Mana Minis (4-6 Years Old)
Using Athletics New Zealand's Get Set Go programme, our Mana Minis group helps young children enjoy being active through play. Fun, age-appropriate activities help develop fundamental movement skills such as running, jumping, throwing, balancing, and coordination.
Registration Fee: $76 for the full season or $41 for a quarter season.
Junior athletes (7-14 Years Old)
Whether participating for fun, fitness, or competition, athletes in this age group will benefit from attending club nights and interclub events. The programme focuses on developing skills, building confidence, and encouraging athletes to achieve their personal best.
Registration Fee (7-14 years)
$110 for the full season or $66 for a quarter season.
Senior athletes (15 Years +)
Senior athletes competing for their school and/or club can access squad training and development opportunities that help improve technique, speed, fitness, and race-day performance.
VOLUNTEERS - we need you to register too! Click here and choose the option ‘Club Volunteer/Club-only Membership’ option. Please note that you will need to create your own GameDay profile. Do not register using your child's account.
Registration Fees (15+)
15-19 years: $140 for the full season or $66 for a quarter season.
20 years and over: $170 for the full season.
Registration includes entry fees for Central League meets.
Refund Policy
Athletes must be registered and have paid their membership fee before attending club nights or competing in events organised by Athletics New Zealand and Athletics Wellington.
We welcome athletes to attend a club night as a trial before deciding whether to join.
Refunds are not available for a change of mind. However, the committee may consider refund requests in exceptional circumstances on a case-by-case basis.
Any refund of the Athletics New Zealand and Athletics Wellington levy portion of the membership fee is at the discretion of those organisations. Mana can submit a refund request on your behalf.
